Dr. Shahin Ghadir is a Los Angeles native, double board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. He is a senior partner at HRC Fertility — one of the most established and high-volume reproductive medicine groups on the West Coast — and serves on the clinical faculty at both UCLA and USC.
He completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at UCLA, graduating cum laude, before earning his MD summa cum laude from Central University School of Medicine, where he ranked first in his class. His residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center was followed by a three-year fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility through the combined UCLA / Cedars-Sinai Medical Center program. During residency he received a Distinguished Teaching Award; later, the State of California recognized him with a Community Service Recognition Award.
Dr. Ghadir has been continuously named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2015 and is regularly listed among the Top Doctors in the U.S. by Los Angeles Magazine's national poll and by Super Doctors of Southern California. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG) and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).
He is a published author in peer-reviewed journals including Fertility & Sterility and the New England Journal of Medicine, a contributing author of the infertility section of the McGraw-Hill reference CURRENT Diagnosis & Treatment: Obstetrics & Gynecology, and an active researcher in PCOS, fertility preservation, fibroid treatment, and patient-reported outcomes.
Dr. Ghadir is the founder of Fertility for All and has served as an emeritus board member of Family Equality (formerly the American Fertility Association) and the Neuromuscular Disease Foundation. He is a longstanding supporter of LGBTQ+ family building and offers special programs for U.S. military families. He sees patients in English, Spanish, and Farsi.
