The process
  1. 01
    Cycle-day labs
Hormone panel timed to the menstrual cycle.
  2. 02
    Ultrasound
Antral follicle count and uterine evaluation.
  3. 03
    HSG (hysterosalpingogram)

Semen analysis and any indicated bloodwork.
  5. 05
    Review visit
We sit down to review every result and outline what they mean for next steps.
What to expect

Most workups complete in one menstrual cycle. The HSG itself takes 5–10 minutes and is done in the office.

Risks & considerations

HSG can cause brief cramping. Rare risks include infection or contrast reaction. We screen carefully and prepare you well.

Frequently asked
Does HSG hurt?+
Most patients describe brief, period-like cramping. Pre-medication helps significantly.
Do I need every test on the menu?+
No. We order what will change the plan, not what fills a checklist.
When in my cycle is it done?+
HSG is performed between days 6–12 of the menstrual cycle.
